NEOGENESIS+STUDI0261 is a multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2011 by architects Chinmay Laiwala, Jigar Asarawala, and Tarika Asarawala. Based on a shared vision to redefine spatial experiences, the studio has evolved into a dynamic and forward-thinking practice that believes in the transformative power of design to enhance the quality of life.
At the core of NEOGENESIS+STUDI0261’s philosophy lies the pursuit of an authentic “sense of place”. Each project is approached as a thoughtful response to its context, drawing from contemporary culture, advanced technology, and architectural insight to create spaces that are relevant, meaningful, and enduring.
In just over a decade, the studio has built an impressive portfolio spanning diverse typologies and scales. Their body of work includes master planning, residential and commercial developments, institutional and industrial buildings, recreational projects, and an extensive range of interior design commissions. The team’s ability to work seamlessly across disciplines has allowed them to develop integrated, adaptive solutions that cater to both function and aesthetic sensibility.

In the heart of an industrially active zone, the Girl’s College for Model Education Trust stands as a symbol of empowerment, offering nursing education from GNM to MSc exclusively for women. Designed by Ar. Jigar Asarawala, this institution not only delivers academic excellence but also reflects the identity and values of the trust. With safety and functionality as the foundation, the 5000 sq.m master plan is crafted to create a secure and nurturing campus environment. The architecture is deliberately introverted, organizing three academic blocks around a central open garden that becomes the soul of the site. The built form combines rigid geometric squares with curved staircases, all connected via open passages and terraces that encourage interaction and natural flow. Responding to the context of the site, staff areas are positioned along the road for surveillance, while classrooms and labs overlook the central courtyard, reinforcing a sense of calm and focus.

The architectural language respects privacy while celebrating openness through introverted courtyards, sun-washed terraces, and tactile materiality. It successfully balances function, emotion, and identity—making it a thoughtful addition to the educational landscape for women in India.
