Architecture Discipline is a New Delhi-based multidisciplinary architecture practice founded in 2007 by Akshat Bhatt, who serves as its Principal Architect. With a diverse portfolio that spans interior design, private residences, workspaces, retail, hospitality, and large-scale urban developments, the studio is known for its context-driven and technically rigorous approach to design.
Akshat Bhatt graduated from the TVB School of Habitat Studies in 2002 and pursued further studies at the University of East London under Peter Salter and Michelle Roelofsma. His formative experience includes working with prominent London-based practices such as Penoyre & Prasad and Jeff Kahane & Associates. A strong believer in academic engagement, Bhatt has taught at several architecture schools in New Delhi and continues to contribute to design discourse through lectures and juries.
Architecture Discipline’s design ethos centers on resilience, adaptability, and contextual relevance. Each project is developed through a rational design process and defined by technical precision, sustainable strategies, and enduring value. The studio seeks to craft built environments that not only fulfill their function but also foster a sense of optimism and progress.
Key projects include the Discovery Centre in Bengaluru, the India Pavilion at Hannover Messe, and urban regeneration initiatives such as JDH in Jodhpur and the Mohalla Clinics for the Delhi Government. Through its multidisciplinary explorations, the practice continues to contribute meaningfully to India’s contemporary architectural landscape.
