reD architects is a Mumbai-based design practice established in 2004 by a team of self-motivated professionals united by a shared vision: to approach every project through a rigorous, research-driven design process. From its beginnings as a two-person studio, reD has grown into a collaborative team of over 40 architects and interior designers, working across diverse scales and sectors.
The studio’s portfolio spans architecture, interior design, urban design, and product design. Each project at reD is approached as a unique opportunity—guided by a deep understanding of user perception, site context, and client aspirations. The team believes there are no absolute solutions in design, only thoughtful responses tailored to each challenge.
reD architects thrives on collaboration, frequently engaging with artists, craftsmen, structural engineers, product designers, and branding consultants to bring layered perspectives and depth to every project. The studio’s hallmark lies in delivering spaces that move beyond trends—offering timeless experiences rooted in functionality and cultural relevance.
Leadership Team:
Ekta Parekh, Founding Partner, brings extensive experience from Mumbai and New York, working across residential towers, bridges, and hospitality interiors. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, she also lectures at KRVIA, Mumbai.
Rajiv Parekh, Founding Partner, is known for his strong focus on construction techniques, detailing, and heritage restoration. He earned his master’s from Pratt Institute, New York.
Maithili Raut, Partner, brings global expertise in architecture and urban design, with experience in Paris, New York, and Mumbai. A Columbia University graduate, she strongly believes in design that responds to context with clarity and intent.
Crafted for a family of four, this apartment redefines modern living through thoughtful spatial reconfiguration and layered design storytelling. Originally a four-bedroom layout, it now flows as a three-bedroom with a transformative den that adapts as a guest room or remains open to enhance the living expanse. From the very entrance, design takes center stage—an artistic vestibule with a sculptural console and thumbprint chair by the door sets the tone for the rest of the home. At the heart lies a dual-zone living room, combining formal seating with a sophisticated bar concealed behind floor-to-ceiling metallic-folding doors. The adjacent dining area features a custom 10-seater table with a ‘forest of legs’ revealed through a tinted glass top. A seamless connection to the outdoor deck invites the family into a space with a swing and breakfast nook.
