EVage Motors, a pioneer in sustainable mobility, reimagines industrial architecture through its groundbreaking Micro Factory and Headquarters near Mohali, Punjab. Designed to echo the modernist ethos of Chandigarh while embracing a forward-thinking vision, the facility redefines what a manufacturing and workspace environment can be—dynamic, human-centric, and future-ready.

Departing from conventional factory typologies, the Micro Factory integrates production, administration, and collaboration zones under one coherent spatial framework. The design places equal emphasis on people and processes—allowing seamless interaction between teams while ensuring the efficiency of workflow. The architecture encourages flexibility, transparency, and adaptability, values central to EVage’s ethos as an electric vehicle manufacturer shaping the future of mobility.

A key challenge lay in integrating the complex systems of HVAC, lighting, and modular office spaces within the constraints of a warehouse structure. Instead of concealing them, these functional elements were transformed into expressive design features. Exposed ducts, pendant lighting, and a refined network of mechanical systems became part of the visual language—turning technical necessities into aesthetic assets.

At the heart of the workspace lies a bold architectural statement—a striking red boardroom pod. Positioned as the focal point, it stands as a symbol of leadership, energy, and innovation. Overlooking the production floor, it reinforces the company’s transparency and commitment to collaboration. The vibrant red contrasts with the muted industrial palette, lending rhythm and identity to the open environment.

Materiality and craftsmanship are central to the project’s experience. Locally sourced materials, handcrafted finishes, and advanced technologies coexist harmoniously, creating an environment that feels both grounded and futuristic. Abundant natural light filters through carefully planned skylights, softening the industrial aesthetic and connecting the interior to its agrarian setting.
