groupDCA
groupDCA, founded in 1996, is a New Delhi-based multidisciplinary architecture and interior design studio, co-founded by architects Amit Aurora and Rahul Bansal, both alumni of the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi. With a celebrated portfolio spanning residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors, the studio has consistently delivered design excellence backed by innovation and contextual sensitivity.
The firm rose to prominence during India’s retail boom in the early 2000s, collaborating with both national and international brands to shape spatial identities that were immersive and experiential. These early successes positioned groupDCA as a leader in retail design, while also expanding its footprint across various other typologies, including large-scale master planning and biophilic architecture.
groupDCA’s philosophy is rooted in sustainability, timelessness, and cultural context. The firm is known for integrating local materials, indigenous techniques, and contemporary tools to craft spaces that are both progressive and deeply grounded. Rather than following fleeting design trends, the studio champions enduring design solutions that promote practicality, exclusivity, and long-term value.
With a growing global presence, the studio continues to evolve while remaining committed to its core belief: that great design comes from thoughtful integration of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology. Whether through architecture, interiors, or urban interventions, groupDCA’s work reflects a balance of innovation, context, and a deep respect for nature and culture.
Today, groupDCA stands at the intersection of craft and innovation, continuing to shape transformative spaces across India and beyond.
Set within the bustling urban fabric of Kolkata, the Primarc office redefines workspace dynamics by adopting a collaborative and fluid design language. Spanning over 2650 sqm across three floors and a terrace, the workspace has been conceptualised for a leading real estate firm seeking to break away from rigid cubicle structures. Designed to reflect the brand’s core values of innovation, sustainability, and wellbeing, the layout prioritises flexibility, ample natural light, and environmental sensitivity. Visual continuity has been maintained across functional zones, and every design decision—from shifting the workstations to daylight-optimised directions to using locally sourced materials reflects a rooted commitment to context. Panoramic views of the western wetlands, an atrium-connected staircase, and thoughtfully placed greenery foster a dynamic yet grounded ambiance. From executive lounges to biophilic work clusters, every zone seamlessly balances privacy and collaboration. The office also features curated artwork by Dolly Dabriwal and Pradip Das, lending it an elevated cultural identity.
