After 14 successful years of shaping Bengaluru’s craft beer culture, Toit embarks on a new chapter with Toit Bagmane — a project that redefines the brand’s identity within an unexpected context. Located within a 7,200 sq. ft. disused tennis court in a corporate IT campus, the brewpub transforms a forgotten space into a lively urban retreat where community, craftsmanship, and creativity converge.
The design preserves the brand’s signature warmth while embracing its new environment. Opening out to a lush garden edge, the layout blurs the line between indoors and outdoors, encouraging patrons to move seamlessly through the space. The zoning unfolds organically — from the bustling service areas to the relaxed indoor dining zones, culminating in the beer garden that spills into the landscaped periphery. Here, nature is not merely a backdrop but an active participant, grounding the social experience in openness and vitality.
Materiality anchors the narrative of Toit Bagmane. A restrained palette of metal, glass tiles, and exposed brick lends texture, authenticity, and understated character. A sculptural staircase anchors the double-height volume, connecting the mezzanine and drawing the eye upward, becoming a bold architectural gesture amid the raw industrial charm. Quirky details — barrel-lid ceilings, patterned brick walls, stained glass accents, and verdant greenery — enhance the space’s layered character, reflecting Toit’s playful spirit while maintaining sophistication. Natural light filters through carefully positioned openings, highlighting textures and creating dynamic shadows that shift throughout the day, adding a sense of rhythm and life to the interiors.
At the heart of the brewpub, the indoor-outdoor bar functions as both a physical and social bridge, inviting patrons to gather, converse, and experience brewing as theatre. The careful orchestration of seating, lighting, and circulation ensures a seamless flow, supporting both intimate gatherings and larger social events. Muted tones, punctuated by vibrant green accents, evoke nostalgia while celebrating renewal. Toit Bagmane is more than a brewpub; it is an atmosphere — a carefully crafted environment where design, flavor, and friendship flow freely, demonstrating that, much like great beer, the best experiences are always shared.
